Website Terms & Conditions 

Access and use of this website ('www.carshower.co.uk') are conditional on your review, understanding and acceptance of the following:

The contents presented on the website, such as images, photographs, videos, pictures, logos and any other material, are part of the website and protected by copyright and by all other IP rights.

 

It is forbidden to reproduce, in whole or in part, in whatever form, the Website and its contents without express written consent.

You are only permitted to view the Website and its contents benefiting from the services made available on it. 

If you do not agree with these Conditions , please do not use and do not access the Website. 

Service Terms & Conditions 

By booking a service with Car Shower - Mobile Car Wash (“the Company”) (“Car Shower Limited”) you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

 

1.Service

Our service area is highlighted and visible by visitng: www.carshower.co.uk/coverage. Postcodes outside of our service area will not be able to book.

 1.1. Requirements

Vans are equipped with filtered water and products, however we will request access to an electrical socket plug within 50 meters of the vehicles wash location. If there is no access to power then there will be a small additional charge for the supply of power:

Basic - £3.00

Basic Plus - £3.50

Premium - £6.00

Ultimate - £8.00

 

2. Bookings

Bookings that have been placed with the Company on the website or app, or via telephone will be subject to a Debit/Credit card pre authorisation. £1 will be blocked and returned within 5 working days by our payment gateway. The Company reserves the right to cancel or restrict bookings subject to availability.

2.1. Advertised Time 

Advertised times for bookings are displayed in man hours. These are maximums for the allocated service to be carried out. In no case will these times be extended. Your operative will inform you if your chosen package time is not sufficient. Your service may get completed in a shorter amount of time should the reasonable results be achieved.   

 2.2. Lateness 

As we run back to back bookings, any customer lateness greater than 15 minutes could be deemed a cancellation and fall under such cancellation terms (see section 7.0 below).

We reserve the right to cancel your appointment at any time.

 2.3. Location 

A booking location change can be made up to 24 hours before the confirmed booking time for a £10 fee. Due to route planning and attendant scheduling changes within 24 hours of your confirmed booking time may be rejected and fall inline with our cancellation policy (see section 7.0 below)

3. Pricing

All prices are listed on the Company’s price list which can be found on the website and in the app and are listed in £GBP. The Company reserves the right to change pricing without prior notice. 

 3.1. Sizing 

Pricing is determined based on the size of the vehicle. You may see a rough guide by visiting www.carshower.co.uk/vehicle-size-guide. Images shown are for illustration reference purposes only. Any booking made with the incorrect vehicle size will be amended to the correct vehicle size. 

 3.2. Surcharges

We reserve the right to apply a surcharge for vehicles that have been used for but not limited to, offroad use, Hulage or remains of plants/soils/sands/building materials, excess pet hair, poorly maintained condition or any other state that is deemed beyond fair use. Such surcharges start at a minimum of £10.00 and are capped at £30.00. (Ask a member of our team if you have any queries before you book)

 3.2.1 Mould Removal Fee

We reserve the right to charge a mould removal fee of £50.00 per vehicle for light moulding or £100.00 per vehicle if covered in heavy moulding.

 3.2.2 Defrosting Fee

We reserve the right to charge a defrosting fee of £10.00 per vehicle if covered in ice/heavy sleet/snow.

3.3. Parking

If you are parked in a private parking lot or private land with parking control, you will be required to provide access for our operative on arrival. If payment is required you will need to cover this cost. You will be liable for any issued privately operated car park PCN (Parking Charge Notice).

4. Contact
In order to fulfil our obligations to you, the Company may contact you with regards to any appointment you have made. We may from time to time send you reminders and other such information with regard to services we think that you might find helpful. You can opt out of such communications on the website or from the bottom of each email.

 

5. Liability

We will perform the services selected by you from our service list with all reasonable skill and care.

Whilst the Company shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that its operatives shall take reasonable care of the vehicle whilst in its custody (including without limitation where the vehicle is washed and cleaned), the company shall not be liable for:

i. Damage to, loss of the vehicle or any part of it, or any of its accessories or any of its content and/or damage to any other property, arising from, or in connection with our custody of the vehicle.
ii. Where such liability is proved to arise, and only to the extent it is proven to arise, as a result of negligence, a criminal act or breach of statutory duty on the part of the company or its operatives.
iii. In addition, the Company accepts no responsibility or liability for any damage, however caused, resulting from or in connection with the seizure of the vehicle by the police, H.M. Customs & Excise or any person lawfully authorised to do so.

The operatives of the Company have no authority to accept any valuables or other articles for safe custody and the company will not be liable for any loss of or damage to any such articles which a customer purports to leave in the safe custody or keeping of the Company, its operatives.

Customers are requested to deposit their valuables in a secure place prior to leaving the vehicle in the Company’s custody.

6. Vehicle Checks
Whilst your vehicle is within our custody, our operatives have been trained to check your vehicle’s vitals and collect vehicle data as part of our responsibility to you and also to enhance your customer experience. This may include (but is not limited to) oil levels, washer fluid levels, tyre tread, brake pad wear and mileage. All data is collected and protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy (see section 8 below).

Our operatives may make you aware of any issues that they find, and may offer you additional services to rectify the issues. You are under no obligation to accept this offer and is just a part of our customer care.

7. Cancellation Policy
We understand that schedules change and you may need to change the time of a booking.

You may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the confirmed booking time. 

 7.1. Complete Cancellation

If you cancel the booking within 5 to 24 hours of the scheduled time we will charge 50% of the booking. 

Cancellations within 5 hours of the booking time will be charged in full.

 7.2. Customer Rescheduling

If you move a wash 5 to 24 hours before confirmed booking time to another time (within 30 days) and do not cancel, you will be charged a fee of 25% of the booking. 

Moving a wash up to 5 hours before a confirmed booking time will result in a fee of 50% of the booking; as your washer will have booked out time for you and your vehicle in their working day.

 7.3. Company Rescheduling

We may ask to move your booking (within 7 days) for reasons such as; weather, staff availability, traffic etc. You will not be charged for this and will not be entitled to cancel.

 7.4. Customer Lateness

8. Customer Responsibilities

You must disclose to us all defects, damage, or weakness in your vehicle, known or suspected by you, which may be affected by the services prior to our commencing with any of our services.

We do not undertake to insure your vehicle against loss while it is in our possession. Insurance of your vehicle is at all times your responsibility.

Any complaints about our work cannot be considered unless reported prior to our operative handing you back your key and marking the job as complete.

You will be liable to us for any death, injury or damage suffered by us or our staff attributable to any defect in your vehicle or any harmful contents.

It should be noted that polish and other cleaning products can be slippery and extreme caution should be exercised when collecting your vehicle.

We accept no liability whatsoever for loss or damage caused as a consequence of failing to heed this warning.

Old or non original paintwork can be damaged in the cleaning process. All such defects shall be indicated to our staff prior to commencement of the cleaning process.

Child seats and booster seats must be refitted by you. We will not be able to refit seats under any circumstances.

You confirm that you have a spare set of keys for the vehicle and that we shall not be liable for loss or damage caused to you or the vehicle by an operative accidentally losing the keys or locking them in the vehicle.

Older vehicles may have weaker or perished materials and we agree to provide the services at your risk in respect of vehicles over 3 years old.

 

9. Privacy

Any payment or booking information provided to the Company, will only be used by the Company and will not be distributed or given to any other individual or organisation. Further information can be found in our Privacy Policy.

 9.1. Photography

Your vehicle will be photographed for our internal quality control records and such images may be used to promote our services via our website or social media. You may request that we do not exhibit such images by request in writing by emailing privacy@carshower.co.uk

 

10. Offers & Discounts

Offers can be terminated at any time without notice and can not be used in conjunction.

 10.1. Repeat Bookings

Users may set up repeat bookings during the checkout stage. This will automatically generate new bookings every week, 2nd week, 3rd week, 4th week, 6th week, 8th week or every 3 months, 6 months depending on the package.

Such bookings will be visible in the users account and will fall under such terms as described in sections 2 & 7 above.

Some repeat scheduling can offer discounts visible at the time of checkou and we reserve the right to update or remove them at any time.

 10.2. Share Code Rewards

Earn £5 in app credit for each referral when you share your personalised code and they book their first wash using such code.

Creating various accounts to exploit such offer is considered gross misconduct and is being monitored. In such case your credit will be voided and your accounts suspended. 

 10.3. Promo Codes

Codes must be entered online/app during checkout and can not be exchanged for monetary discount unless expressed below.
